Science Daily reported of a study of 91-96 year olds who lifted weights 2 days a week for 12 weeks. They improved leg muscle mass/power, walking speed, and balance.

The Harvard Nurses Health Study has studied 280,000  women since 1976. Post-menopausal women who were physically active for 1 hour per day decreased fracture risk by 44%.

What you've got to put in

  • Time – You’ll need 30-45 minutes 4-5 days per week for movement. (It can divided into 10 minute intervals or fit in to daily life.)

  • Physical, mental, and emotional commitment. I will not ask you to do anything that feels too scary, but I will ask you to take steps forward. That’s what BOOST is for.
  • I ask you to be present and honest with yourself and with me. A coaching commitment and changes can bring up fear, worries, and resistance. It’s all part of the process.

My Promise

We can’t turn back time or change the life you’ve already lived. Your body carries some histories that have made their mark. I cannot promise to take away those marks of time. I cannot promise to take away aches and pains.

Here’s what I promise you….

I will lead you with mindfulness towards better alignment, flexibility, posture, strength and balance, combined with anti-inflammatory diet, good sleep and stress management. In my experience, that goes a long, long way to feeling good, and having the energy to do what matters.
