Testimonials

I feel like you made this just for me and my challenges with meditation and being quiet. Often my mind begins to wander, and I think about other things I could be, should be, and want to be doing.

Meet Your Guide

I’ve been meditating for 20 years, so I’ve learned what works to quiet my very active mind and my overachieving, perfectionist tendencies.

See my longer bio here.

I’m writing a book called Meditation for Overachievers, Perfectionists, and Busy Brains. If you’d like to get a feel for the book and more info about meditation, read this excerpt: Why do all our thoughts come to the surface when we meditate?

Frequenty Asked Questions about Beginner Meditation Class

This class is offered on a donation basis. I count my daily meditation practice as a huge contributor to my health and growth; it’s hard to put a price on that. Please make a donation based on your capacity and the value you feel it brings to your life.

Donations will be used to expand this course, finish my book, and bring the lessons to more people.

I use the term “Busy Brain” to represent those of us who:

  • have trouble NOT being busy
  • may be an overachiever or perfectionist
  • notice a lot of thoughts when we try to meditate – those could be creative ideas, memories, plans, or simply thinking about the to-do list.

This course is not designed as a therapy or treatment for those with ADHD, although mindfulness and meditation can be helpful strategies.

No experience required! Yes, this is for you.

More experienced meditators may want to review the basics.
